Somebody's got a case of the MUHN--DAYZZZ...
It's the Potala Palace Cabinet from Pier 1. I was originally going to Pier 1 to get a table set for my kitchen.. BUT the set was a lot shorter than it looked online.. so I passed on it. I DID, however, come across something better.. this cabinet caught my eye on the way out. It's colors were vibrant and I just couldn't pass it up! The inside is what sold me though. It's got lots of space to store my stuff.. and looks FabUlOuZ doing it. I'll take some pix once my order gets in.. **fingers crossed** Which will hopefully be by the 31st :) Guess we'll wait and see.
Below... Is my next big venture! Hopefully, I'll have this baby by the end of the month.
It's the Suzuki Gz250. Msrp is $3,249.00 .. but hopefully I'll get it for a bit less.. I'll keep updating . :) and fer sher be cruising around on my *new* motorcycle by the beginning of summer .. WOOOOOHOOO!!
Enough for now!

***Thursday***
oK.. I 'll do one entry... but split it up :)
~*~Dinner last night~*~
::Pop::
mmmm
crunch crunch :)
Here's the recipe.. (from Allrecipes.com)
Ingredients-
- 30 saltine crackers
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons dry potato flakes
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
Directions-
- Place crackers in a large resealable plastic bag; seal bag and crush crackers until they are coarse crumbs. Add flour, potato flakes, seasoned salt, and pepper to bag and mix well.
- Beat egg in a shallow dish or bowl; heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
- One by one, dredge chicken pieces in egg beat, then place in bag with crumb mixture, seal bag and shake to coat.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook coated chicken in skillet for 15 to 20 minutes, turning frequently, until golden brown and juices run clear.
*** My changes--
Well, I soaked my chicken in a brine first for a few hours while I was at work. (My grandma is VERY BIG on soaking chicken before cooking) I made my soak from a little water, olive oil, paprika, salt, crushed mixed pepper, fresh cut garlic, and a little garlic salt. MANNNNNN did this make my chicken *super* juicy :)
Second change I made.. was, of course, I only used about 3 chicken breasts instead of 6... and I cut each one in thin halves.. so they'd cook quicker and more evenly.
That was it.. made a little white pepper gravy.. and some corn.. and it sWaLlOwEd my craving whole :)
Here's the address of LuLu's if you ever wanna try the real thing ;0)

__Euthanasia__
When I was in debate back in high school, this was a huge topic.. I'm sure each case is different.. and there are pros and cons to every one... BUT this.. this is a very sad case.
This is Chantal Sebire
What a sad story.. I guess she finally got her peace.
BUT my question is WHY they made it so difficult for her. She wanted an assisted suicide.. and it's OBVIOUS why..
"Ms Sebire was diagnosed with esthesioneuroblastoma eight years ago, which left her nearly blind and with no sense of taste or smell. As the tumour burrowed through her sinuses and nasal cavities, her nose swelled to several times its size and one eye socket was pushed out of her head, AP reports. " (http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,23407034-5001028,00.html?from=public_rss)
Before her death this is what she had become.
You know we wouldn't let an animal live like this... why a suffering human being who is tired of fighting?
What kind of life was this for her?.. blind, without smell or taste? She was dead to the world around her already.
I think this case was an acceptable excuse for a granted assisted suicide. But I guess since the government didn't help.. she found her own means of helping herself. ::shakes head:: sad..
~*~My Up-coming Weekend ~*~
Onto a better note! Look at all the *awesome* movies coming out.. SOOO many scary ones too!! :)
I want to see-
- Shutter
- The Ruins
- Meet the Browns
- Prom Night
... and maybe a couple others.. guess we'll see!!
That's about it for now!

Too Emotional?
Just because I feel for people in unfortunate situations, or care about people who seriously need help... ?? I thought that's what 'us' as humans do naturally?... Maybe I'm not the one who's "over-emotional".. maybe everyone around me has become numb to how sad this world has become... call me emo.. depressed.. whatever.. but I wouldn't trade my emotions for anything. It's the only thing that keeps me feeling alive.
I think about people and how they've lost and it breaks my heart..
Especially the way other people can go on with their daily lives.. take everything for granted and care less if anyone is losing something for their gain..
So far.. this war in Iraq has taken 3,983 lives (just U.S.) and left 29314 wounded... not counting other countries involved. For people going on with their daily lives in places outside of the military community.. these are just numbers.. but for some.. it's our family member, friend, neighbors..
and it's not just this war or the victims I have empathy for..
What about those who have missing family members... or a cold homicide case? They may never know where their relative is or what happened to their love one.. some at least have some closure.. but thousands of people will die before getting any kind of answers.
If you don't have some sort of heart that aches for these people then gosh.. I must be emotional.
And thank God for that.
(guess it's the gloomy weather out lol.. sorry.. )

In love with Tracy Porter..
I want a shelf full of these *beautiful* teapots.. Tyyyyte
Anyways.. check out the web site www.tracyporter.com She's got awesome clothes.. beautiful dishes.. and an amazing decorating style.. VERY much to my liking! :)
Alright.. I'm back to daydreaming and looking at my ~new~ Tracy Porter catalogue I got this morning :)
Wow.. what a crazy day
So, work started off pretty good.. not super slow.. not a ton of work to do.. Then, BAM! bloody guy comes running through the door, "I've been shot! Call 911! I've been shot!"
DOUBLE YOU TEE EFF!!!
I kick into panic mode... 'what should I do'... 'this guy needs help'... 'should I get the hell outta here before someone comes in to shoot everyone else and finish him off?!!'
Man,, was I freakin out! He stumbled through the showroom bleeding all over until we got him to sit down .. I called Janette and told her to come help ASAP! (Then she ran like bionic woman ) The whole time he kept calling for us to call his mother... [we did of course]
Once the police got there I could finally breathe... (and run to the br to pee! lol) Janette did a great job with her medic skills lol woot woot.
I'm just glad things turned out well.. and he was only shot in the HAND! lol (not to mention with his OWN gun.. )
pOOOOOr Guy..
WELP.. time for some rest.. and hopefully more training for this at work?!! lol jk

~City Market Deli~
Next up.. City Market Deli. ..
I have to say.. Blue Moon is my *favorite* place to eat downtown.. but this is going to take a close second now. The sandwiches were good... very flavorful and fresh.. nice size too.. BUT the only thing that gave me reason to mark them down a bit was $$$ .
For a sandwich... (no chips or drink) 7.50!... for a lunchbox meal (drink, chips, sandwich) 10.50!!!
YIKES,, it was 19 something for two sandwiches and a small Yoohoo bottle.. WTF?
Guess this will just have to be a once and a while thing.. and I'll have to continue my love for Blue Moon.. Here are some photos I took :)
The view from the inside.. wow... what a nice day it was :)
I fell in love with the light fixtures.. great taste ..
They were little bug lites! Ohh... and LOOK AT THE TIN CEILING?!! Awesome :)
Bzzzzzzz...
These were neat too... really modern looking ..They'd look great in a hallway.(MY hallway lol)
Small menu up on the board.. but look how pretty the shelves are..
yum!,,, MAKE MY SANDWICH!!! lol
My Pastrami on rye... mmmm nice and spicy! :)
HMMM... the desserts looked ok.. the tiramisu looked the best.. but they all looked store bought and boxed... so.. probably not super great tasting..
Overall... it was pretty good,.... BUT I def.. was a little disappointed..
