6,869 km From Home!

Lately it's felt even further! I've been in Germany for almost 4 months now and there are times when I still miss home. I'm adapting well and taking my German classes, but it's the small things I miss. Southern hospitality.. convenience of 24 hour last minute shopping, mild winters.. and the people I love! It's not all that bad though. I've come to realize how much I really enjoy the fresh start and simple way of life. It's made me a lot more relaxed. I'm not rushing around busy at all hours of the day and the time I get to spend experiencing new things with my husband has brought us a lot closer. It's almost starting to feel like an extended vacation and not a permanent change.

I look forward to the rest of my time here and all of the opportunities to travel laid out infront of my feet! It's a blessing over all. Ok.. Onto other things ;0)

Here's a gorgeous picture of our icicle trees along our roads the other day. It was quite *magical*. Today it has been surprisingly sunny and the snow is almost nonexistant. Maybe we can get a few more days of weather like this??.. Pretty please? :) We'll see! I highly doubt it since the snow seems to come back every other day! That's winter for ya.
This coming month has a lot of adventures awaiting! I can't wait to share with you all! I'm hoping February we can take a trip through Munich and to a few historical sites. I've ordered a couple items online that you will love as well! *Yippeee* Time for me to do my daily walk to the post office. I'll post some more later.
