Oh If Only Every Day Was a Friday!
Good Morning everyone!!
Not much has happened over the last few days. I feel like I'm stuck in the "waiting zone" for now.
It looks as though Mike may be having another surgery again.. (geh, can they just fix him the 1st time) We should know more when he goes to his ultrasound appt next week. Poor guy!
He seems to have a billion things on his plate right now and I know it's stressing him out.
Next week he also reenlists!! Hopefully soon after that we'll be getting our official orders and can get things moving. So far I've already been putting things up for sale on Craigslist and looking into PCS 'must dos'.
I feel like I'm in the Mike boat also. I have a thousand thoughts racing through my head at the moment! Even if I get most of the important things done before Sept, I still have the feeling Mike will be leaving ahead of me. I really don't want to have to handle some of the big stuff alone :(
Oh well! This is what I signed up for as an Army wife right?!! lol (and it's not like I didn't know what I was getting into) Mom and dad said they'd help me as much as possible... and moms already figuring out the ACS side! LOL.. I love that woman!
Tonight I'll be making another 'Man Parts' Cake for Desiree's bachelorette party tomorrow. I guess it'll be a good warm up for her wedding cake next Friday.. YIKES! I'm excited though. I know her wedding cake will turn out beautiful. ..And it's not a huge cake, so it's a nice break!
Hmmm. Other than those things, not much else has happened.. MINUS I have the spawn of satan as my new boss LOL... But that's a blog post in itself.. AND I might just wait until I leave here before I openly declare my dislike. ;0)
I should be posting some pics soon!

I am so bad at this! It seems that as soon as I get in my boogie woogie blogging groove, I get busier than hell and neglect you all! For that, I apologize! I could give a million excuses I'm sure, but for now I'll just tell you a few of the things going on in my chaotic life and you can clearly see why I've been MIA once again!
Recently, (and I mean within days) I found out that my husband and I will be making a trip overseas. Not for vacation or a backpacking excursion, but for a full 3 yrs! My husband got word that we will be moving to Europe this fall. He reports in September and I guess I just show up sometime soon after... Thanks for the notice! LOL. Luckily, we don't have much to worry about. (Selling a house, pets, etc) We can just get up and go.
So far, it looks like we may be heading to Baumholder, Germany. It's a small base in western Germany near the border of France. (In the vineyard country) I'm pretty excited... I tend to adapt quickly and make the best of every situation, so this experience should be a memorable one! I've lived in Germany before as a young child, but I know now I'll be able to explore and appreciate it all more. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted along the way.... And if you are heading to the area, please let me know! I'm sure we can all help eachother throughout this PCS. :)
NEXT!!!---> My cousin Desiree is getting married in a few weeks and I'll be making her cake. I'm in the beginning stages of planning, so expect to see some pictures and what not in the near future. Besides that.... umm... I don't know what else is keeping me from blogging lol..
I'm sure I have quite a few more things going on, but this should be sufficient!
Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day and hopefully I'll be back later to put up some new stuff!

Ok, so you all already know how much I LOVE little projects to keep me busy!
This is one I completed a little over a week ago. It's a cute little sun dress for a 3 yr old .
I used patter m5649 by McCalls.
I chose dress c and added my own little touches.
Enjoy!
I decided to make it a size 3 toddler.
Here are my little doodles on what I wanted to make and the small changes I wanted to implement.
This was my first time using a store bought pattern. Usually I just kind of 'wing it'.
When I first started it was like reading Chinese... but once I gave it a second look, it was smoooooth as butta'

Drab to *Fab*
I really enjoy taking the old and making it new and my own! My husband had some older bedroom furniture that was in good condition, but a little different from the rest of our house's style. So instead of going out and buying a new bedroom set... we have a "new" set! lol
Too bad I didn't really take a 'before' picture, BUT this is a picture I found online that is VERY similar to the way this dresser looked before. ;o)
